#Lovers!!! Today is my last day producing for Love And R&B with John Monds and I’m truly going to miss you. It’s been a blessing to work with JM and while it was not easy to leave, it’s time to move on.
In just 2 years the social media accounts grew from only 3 followers to over 10.5K (organically) with 173 new FB followers being the most we’ve EVER received in one week alone. That’s right, tonight we peaked at 173 new followers for the week and it happened on my last day!
This show’s growth is a true testament that our community still wants to hear quality R&B music and discuss meaningful issues that affect our families.

Every once in a while we’ll get a scenario that leaves so much to the imagination. Of course we can’t get every detail but we try to paint the picture in a way that everyone understands the real issue advice is needed for. We’re really going to need some of our veteran #Lovers to call 844-258-8762 and offer some advice for Monae’s #OHSOREALScenario:
Monae-29 met 63-year-old Horace 8 years ago at a mall when she was a struggling college student. Horace was very free with his spending and became Monae’s “sugar-daddy” while she got her degree. Over the years the gifts and wining-n-dining have gotten more expensive whenever they connected every few months or so, but the last thing Monae expected was for Horace to ask her to consider marrying him now that he’s finalized his divorce. Monae does have feelings for Horace but she doesn’t know if the way they met will prevent the possibility of true happiness. Tonight Monae’s asking, is she crazy to think this relationship can still work?

Who’s ready to time travel back to 1986? Stick with us and we’ll leave the port in at 8pm sharp for a trip back to when Howard Hewitt and Jeffrey Osborne were atop the R&B charts. If you have a “scenario” you’d like to hear discussed by the #Lovers, send an inbox message here or at JohnMonds.com. Tonight Angie wants you to call 844-258-8762 with your advice on this #OHSOREALScenario:
Angie 35 and Thomas 36 have been married for 3 years now. Over the years Nick would sometimes wake Victoria up to initiate sex at odd times of the night after they both went to bed. While she didn’t mind, it seems Nick wants sex at 3am almost every night now. When she asked him to be considerate of her work schedule, Nick brought up the fact that she never had a problem with it before and as a wife she should want to keep up what they already had going. Victoria feels guilty and she’s asking, is she being unreasonable to ask her husband to stop initiating sex after they’ve fallen asleep?
It’s our day to travel back down memory lane and tonight’s road trip will stop at the year 1980. Join us for a special playlist put together for those who remember how special 80’ was. Much thanks to the new likes/follows we’ve received from new #Lovers! We’d like to get your advice below or by calling 844-258-8762 on tonight’s #OHSOREALScenario:
Jordan 41 and Christie 36 have been dating for 15 months. They decided to be exclusive six months ago and they have grown closer since. They have been having discussions about kids, where they see themselves in 5 years, and finances to learn more about each other. When Jordan asked Christie if she had good credit, she admitted her credit score was “around 400.” Jordan noticed Christie spends her money quickly and thinks her spending habits don’t line up with where he sees himself financially. Would Jordan be wrong for ending his relationship with Christie if everything else is going well for them?
Give yourselves a round of applause for being a big part of the #Lovers community. You guys are really helping to shape the conversation by posting your thoughts below each night and you’d be surprised to know that there are thousands of people reading these comments every night. If you have a scenario you’d like to discuss, shoot us an inbox message with the details. We’d like to hear your thoughts at 844-258-8762 on tonight’s #OHSOREALScenario:
Christine has a 15 year old son and a 13 year old daughter. Every year she goes all out during the holidays for her kids, buying them whatever they want for Christmas. Christine thinks the kids are old enough to learn the lesson of volunteering and giving this year instead of receiving gifts. She’s considering taking the kids to Houston to sponsor another family’s Christmas and do some volunteer work. The kids’ father disagrees and thinks they should let the youngest enjoy a few more Christmas’ before taking away gifts. Should Christine continue with her plans or wait a few more years to start this new giving tradition?
